Amateur radio sparked my interest in electronics during my high school years. I was first licensed in 1983 and remained active for about 8 years or so thereafter until other hobbies (and life in general!) took over.
But recently, in 2015/2016, I decided to dive back into the hobby, primarily in the interest of developing emergency communications capability. What I quickly discovered is that things have CHANGED in a pretty big way since then, particularly with the introduction of digital modes of operation. And it’s a lot of fun!!!
So I’m BACK into the hobby, mostly playing around with HF digital, DX (using primarily CW), and exploring portable HF operations.
I plan to share some things here that may help others to further develop their capabilities.
